Dear Friends,
Since I first took part in the Ouran High School Host Club panels some two years ago, I became part of a circle of friends who not only made my time at Acen special, but who also managed to make the time of many other guests of the convention something truly exiting.
Lets face it, I was always sort of the odd one out, being that there really is not justification for another Tamaki. But you guys, especially Renge/Crystal, decided that I could take part in the activities and your group, and that alone was something I was deeply thankful for, and fueled my exitement to see you all again next year.
So much so in fact, that I went ahead to create this forum and its website, so that we could stay in contact with each other year around, and plan our activites down to the letter. But more importantly, I wanted to create a place that reflected the fun enviorment we had at Acen, and stay together as friends and fans of a series that is all about making memorable experiences and memories, and all around hilarity of course. ;3
It was surely an amazing journey, one that started almost four years ago. That day in school, I decided to wear a blue blazer, and soon other blazers and suit jackets. But on that day, during a choir get together of the senior and junior choir, I met my friend Sam, who pointed towards me and proclaimed, "Look, its Tamaki!" and would pull me into the Ouran fandom ever since.
Yet now I stand at the cross roads of choices. I see what I have created for you guys, an outlet in which you can bring all your worthwhile thoughts, ideas, suggestions, concerns together, and also a place that you guys can stick together as friends.
But alas, I overstepped my bounds. It was an entirely bad choice for me to attempt being the voice of the people on this board, or to take charge in a way that did not include the entirety of everyones opinion, and I have no right for it in any case. This group is of course, in all its aspects, a democracy, or at least I believe it to be so. It was started by Renge/Crystal of course, and it remains her Host Club, but what she needed was to hear you guys letting her know what you think, have ideas for, or take issue with, and that is what I hope I have created here.
Also, for all the things that I have done that troubled you guys, or inconvenienced you in any way, I am truly sorry that I let you down. And I hope you understand how much I mean that, because I truly do care a lot about all of you.
But now, it is time that I step back from my position with you guys at the Host Club tables, and rather focus on the logistical side of things, in that I will be focused on making the website and forum more known to everyone at Acen, hopefully create a fanbase that can help us gain more support and a community to thrive in, and try to make some panel ideas happen that you guys come up with.
Its been an amazing journey, and I am honored and feel special to have taken it with you guys, thank you!
And so, I am of course not leaving.. Well, unless you guys want me to, in which case I shall willingly slip out of sight and watch things from afar..
..For better or for worse.

Thank you, again, for all your help. I'm very sorry for all the craziness lately, and I really appreciate your support and the good that you have done and are doing. This by no means indicates that you should stop cosplaying Tamaki, as there is still demand for you among the general audience. I wish you and the rest of us a happy future, in and out of ACen. We have a very good and driven group of individuals. Thank you everyone, for your support.

Now hold on.
Seriously.
Getting in contact with he acen staff perhaps was not something you persay should do BUT!!! You were just discussing options with them, nothing was written in stone. And, I think it's great because we now have another option at our dispoal.
Now flashback with me if you please. I remember being at the first Ouran panel as a guest, and remembered thinking, "that guy's an amazing Tamaki." And I know at the last panel I heard a bunch of members of the audience say the same.
So what if you made a mistake? I see that as an opportunity for us. We all make mistakes. That's not a good reason to quit being something you have fun with.
Now, if it was something like you didn't want to do it anymore, or you had other obligations, then that's totally cool. We're your friends, and we'll understand.
It just makes me sad to think that you feel you must go for something that in the big picture is teeny tiny.
BUT! It is your choice after all, so all I'll say is this: "I can speak on behalf of friends and fans that we think you're great, and we'd like you to stay as Tamaki."

Don't panic anyone. It's okay, everything is fine. David will still be in the Host Club, but as a back up. So if anything happens to Tamaki 1.0, and she can't go on, then David said that he would happily step in. He's not leaving, there is no why we would let that happen. *smiles* As Tamaki-senpai might say. He's part of our family, and family sticks together (or something like that). So don't worry about anything, David will still be here.

I think this thing is entirely blown out of proportion. It was a misunderstanding in communication, which, generally, is the thing that sparks the most ridiculous drama. So, kiddies, let's stop being so melodramatic. David is not dying. There's no reason to vote David off the Host Club Survivor island because he emailed some person we've already spoken to. I almost made the same mistake when an Acen staffer asked me to talk to the panel programmer personal about the panel. Would I have gotten booted from the group too if I had?
Honestly, David, you're an INCREDIBLE Tamaki. Your natural personality just spews Tamakisms forth from your person, and it would be a shame to not have you on the panel with us, actively being Tamaki alongside Leaf. If you honestly don't feel like it's appropriate, then that's your decision, but if you're deciding that because of whatever spat occurred a little while ago, then that's not the best way to go about it. Having you around gives our panel that special inside joke between us and the fans that were there two years ago when we started. So, if this is up for vote in our democracy, I vote that David stays in his Tamaki 2.0 position, actively being a main host. Him and Leaf work wonderfully as a Tamaki Team and he's always been nothing but exceptionally entertaining during the panel. If you're having issue with him stepping out of jurisdictional boundaries, that's not something that effects his performance as a host, nor is him stepping down from being a main host a reasonable punishment.
I'd also like to apologize for the drama with Draga and the speculation that you told Draga she could be on the panel. No one had proof of that, aside from whatever Draga told us, and you should have been consulted with it before anyone in the host group formed an opinion on it. See, another error in communication causing ridiculous issues.
In the future, if anyone has something they suspect someone is doing wrong, talk that person personally about it first BEFORE talking to everyone else in the host club, so we're not all speculating on it and creating unnecessary tension. And if you don't have the guts to confront that person yourself, tell me and I'll do it for you, but do NOT spread it around to the rest of everyone else until you've spoken to that person about that exact issue. Especially while we're at the con. That's the worst time for us to start doubting each other. We have cell phones. We can call each other during the con to discuss it. We're not 13 year olds, guys, let's get over this and handle it like an organized, level headed group of adults.
All in all, what I'm saying, is communication. We need to know what we're doing with the panel, what are goals are, how we're going to go about achieving them and who is respondsible for doing what in the whole process. I've talked to Crystal about this and we discussed how she runs the panel, all decisions are, of course, finalized by her and she is the only one to be communicating on our behalf with the ACen staff. Other organizational things, figuring out schematics, working out schedules, thinking out the details of the panel - that she can delegate to the rest of us and it's of the utmost importance that we all know exactly what each other are doing in concerned of the panel. And any information you have concerning the panel, be sure to post here. Like the ACen staff member that contacted us willing to help - post that kind of thing here so we can figure out as a group what to do about it. Crystal is posting what the finalized goal for what we want to have next year so we all know what we're working toward, so let's all post ideas and get the process of making stuff happen going, but everyone inform and keep others informed so this in-fighitng doesn't continue. I love you all and I love this panel ^^ So let's work to be productive like an adorable little host club factory producing AWESOME SAUCE.

David, don't stop being Tamaki, unless you really think your talents would be far better served working in the background. I say however, that your Tamaki spirit won't let you be shut up doing logistical things. The interaction we have as the two Tamakis is beautiful, and the fans eat it up. How exactly are we supposed to compete with those two doppelgangers (the twins) if you abandon me? ^_^
Crystal delegating what's needed, I like this plan. Also, suggestions should be taken seriously. Like that moment last spring when I said 'HOLY CRIPERS, BUY OLD VALENTINE'S DAY STUFF FROM WALGREENS' and people actually went out and checked for it! As us hosters are more regularly on the forums, we are more able to discuss, confirm, receive instructions, post results and progress, etc.
What do we want? How do we get what we want? Once we answer those questions, we move toward agreement on a solution, and ACTION. Get stuff done! I'm looking forward to next year's panel, and I know our potential attendees and fans are as well. Let's work together.

Personally, as, first and foremost, a fan, my favorite part of the whole panel is that there are TWO Tamakis. XD
That made it completely magical for me the first time I attended and it continues to amuse me now. ^__^
And I'm not just saying that, believe me. XD I really mean it, as a fan. =D
Also, about this whole disagreement, if you even want to call it that: I think it was handled well. I'm glad it was brought up. It's best to get these things handled efficiently and I'm really proud to see that you were able to do so. *thumbs up* I'm glad things are settled. ^__^ I'm really excited that we have confirmed participation of the ACen staff! (I know it's more organized to have one person do it, but the point being, it is in the past and we DID get what we wanted. Yea!! =D Keep in mind that it's good that it happened and we got good feedback instead of bad feedback. So I'm really thankful that things worked out! ^__^ I think that's something to party about, no matter how it was achieved, but maybe that's just because I really like parties. XD)
I certainly don't think you should relinquish your Tamaki 2.0 status, but if that's what makes you comfortable on the forum, go for it. Just....as a personal request from a fan....please don't stop being one of the two Tamakis, David. Amanda will back me up on this, as a fan as well, that you and Leaf do a brilliant job together! =D Do you HEAR all the laughter after the Tamakis interact? It's amazing! XD We, the fans, really do love it. (I don't think I need to repeat this again, I just want it to sink in. XD I'll repeat myself more, I'm sure. XD)
Anyway, if you don't want to be a Tamaki, we (I can't hope to represent ALL the fans, but I know a great deal of them do love you!) will miss you. D= (Sorry if you already made the decision against it, but I'm just being honest. ;-P)
In any case, I'm INCREDIBLY excited about next year. I'm so looking forward to WHATEVER is planned, even if we're just in a small room like the first year, there's one thing you can't deny: THE FANS LOVE IT!! X3

Am I truly this important to you guys and to the fans? I could never have guessed, but now I know that I might have made a mistake in thinking that it would be better leaving my seat at the Host Club table. Maybe I could only ever be the odd one out if I actually left myself out? The fact though was that I felt like at least taking a temporary leave of absence, because I thought I wasnt a deeply rooted character in our Host Club group, and rather more of an extra that gives a bit of something else to the group. But I guess I am as much a part of the club as everyone else, and not being a part of it would mean letting down not only the fans, but you guys as well. And I could never let myself do that, because I love all of you guys too darn much.
So lets make the promise now to be absolutely open and honest with one another, so we dont have any problem to openly and kindly discuss matters and issues with one another and solve them in the best of ways.
So please say aye, or yay, or yahoo, or some form of jubilant expression of festive agreement.
So yes, I am back. But I lastly want you guys to know that you all can come to talk to me about anything, anytime, and that all of you are my dearest friends, and that I vow to you from the bottom of my heart, you are my family, and family sticks together, forever.

You, sir, are more important than you realize. because one of the reasons i loved the first panel was because of how increadible Tamaki-ish you were. this panel would and shall never be the same if you left.
I haven't been on in a good while. so everything was a shock to me! So. the past day or so. I was thinking of ways to remind you that you are too special too loose from this!
Now. If anyone would be gone first. It would have to be me. XD. And. that is because I would gladly step down for Hunny 1.0. (why can't i remember her name! Gah! i am sorry). But. you started being in the panel and being the second Tamaki. so. you are very vital!
but. seriously. this forum wouldn't be in excistence if you weren't a part of this. so. Yeah. we wouldn't have this kind of closeness or connection if you weren't with us.
I am glad that we were all able to address this and become more like a real family. because real families have arguements and disputes like no other. XD. i love y'all! thank you for letting me be able to be a part of this. cause this panel isn't a panel if not everyone is on the same page!
